The missing 300 years - « Chasing the Alpine old master »

Painter and mountaineer, Toby WRIGHT, retraces the steps of old master painters who have climbed across the Alps to capture the beauty of the mountains. Turner, Ruskin, Compton, Sargent and many others have given us inspiring testimonials of the Alps across the centuries. Today, Toby WRIGHT finds their exact spots, and brings to life the challenges they faced, how their landscapes have disappeared, and how art can be a powerful tool to document the world around us. With a documentary in the making, this presentation will reveal the evolution of this project, and where it’s going today.
